Corn Chowder Recipe



  • 1 package of salt pork.
  • 1 pack of pork bacon.
  • 2 cans on diced potatoes.
  • 2 cans of corn.
  • 3 cans evaporated milk.
  • 1 large sweet onion.
  • a generous amount of pepper.


Heat a large frying pan. finely dice your salt pork into small strips, fry these in the frying pan until they are crispy.
Pour out most of the grease and set the fried pork aside.
Finely dice your onion and fry it in the pan with the remaining grease and cook it until it is brown.

When the diced onion is golden brown. put it into a large soup pan on medium heat, now add your salt pork and bacon to the onion. Now finally, add your cans of potatoes, corn, and evaporated milk to the soup, use the juices from these cans also as they add flavor to the soup.

Finally, add the amount of pepper you desire to the soup and let heat until hot and serve.
